About the Board
The Titusville-Cocoa Airport District was established to acquire, construct, improve, finance, operate, and maintain airport facilities, as well as associated infrastructure such as buildings, roads, rail facilities, and other developments on land owned or leased by the Authority. These efforts are intended to support the economic welfare of residents within the District and promote its commercial, industrial, and economic growth. The District encompasses a significant portion of Brevard County, Florida, and operates on a fiscal year that runs from October 1 to September 30. Importantly, the District functions as a self-sustaining enterprise and does not receive any general fund dollars from the City of Titusville or Brevard County. Additionally, the District’s enabling legislation does not authorize the levy of taxes, fees, assessments, or charges. As of now, the District has not adopted a formal code of ethics.
The Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority is comprised of seven members. Two representatives are appointed from each of Brevard County Districts I, II, and IV, one by the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners and one by the City of Titusville. An additional at-large member is appointed by the Brevard County Commission.
